In Green Pink Caviar Marilyn Minter continues her interest in blurring the boundaries between fine and commercial art. Co-opting advertising genres and related spaces, she takes on a new platform to direct her first video. The eight minute high definition video, Green Pink Caviar (2009) is a lush and sensual voyeuristic hallucination. Filmed with macro lenses, the video was inspired by a photo shoot where Minter directed her models to lick brightly colored candies while she shot photos from underneath a glass plate. The models’ tongues mixed the colorful sugar with saliva, slurping and pushing color across the glass surface to simulate painting. Driven by her fascination with the body,Green Pink Caviar sets the stage for chance to happen.

Bonnie&Clyde’s Secret Hideout + Private Showroom
As many of you may have heard, Bonnie&Clyde’s has moved. Our Division Street location was flooded, not once but twice over a one week period in early March. We were forced out of our old storefront and into what we’re calling Bonnie&Clyde’s Secret Hideout. It’s a speakeasy -like atmosphere where we and our other cultural deviants imbibe on a craft cocktails and signature drinks, imbibing visions of beautiful new designers, and watching as beautiful collections are presented right before our eyes. It is in this place that we are now accepting guests to join us in our elusive lair. Our guests are advised to send an email to info@bonnieandclydes.com or give us a call at 773-235-2680. We can’t wait to show others our new awesome location, so reach out to us soon. We’re accepting appointments on a first come first serve basis, and are donating an hour of time for each client. Bonnie&Clyde’s New Secret Hideout
We would like to update you on the current state of affairs at Bonnie&Clyde’s.
On Monday March 6th a flood caused by a faulty washing machine from a neighboring unit caused Bonnie&Clyde’s Division St. boutique to temporarily close its doors. After a week of restoration, replacement of hardware, and assessment of damages to merchandise the store was in working order to reopen. Tragically the Bonnie&Clyde’s storefront was flooded a second time in the same manner. The damages were sadly much more significant the second time around. In this unfortunate turn of events Bonnie&Clyde’s has been forced to shutter operations at their Division St. location indefinitely.
However, these retail rebels will not let the destruction of their home base deter their mission to share the world’s most unique unisex fashion. Unfazed they have temporarily set up shop in their Secret Hideout, an undisclosed location in Chicago’s Gold Coast. Until a permanent home is found the Secret Hideout will provide an exclusive refuge for Chicago’s style seekers looking for outstanding unisex fashion.
How does one visit Bonnie&Clyde’s Secret Hideout?
Access to the Secret Hideout will be by invitation only. Current clients and their referrals will be extended personal invitations to book an appointment at Bonnie&Clyde’s Secret Hideout. Upon scheduling an appointment, clients will be disclosed a location to meet a member of the Bonnie&Clyde’s team who will then escort them to the secret showroom. Please note that clients will be requested to sign a nondisclosure agreement prior to entering the new Secret Popup location. The Bonnie&Clyde’s team promises that those lucky enough to receive an invitation will find a wealth of goods from Rick Owens, Ann Demeulemeester, Rad Hourani and more. Efforts in finding them will definitely be well rewarded!
